Universal sector review sonar («Vodoley»)

Universal sector review sonar («Vodoley»)

The system is designed for detection and tracking of moving underwater targets, and for positioning of fixed underwater objects such as buoys, nets, anchors, ropes with an equivalent radius of 0.2 m at a distance of up to 500 m.

For circular review omnidirectional radiation and directional reception by antenna with a fandirectional characteristic are used, so this unit provides detection and direction finding of all surrounding objects.

The device is powered by AC 220 V, 50 Hz. It also has an automatic object recognition mode.

The maximum distance between the sonar and observation post is about 4 km.

Basic technical characteristics

  • Horizontal viewing angle (modifications) — 30, 90, 180, 360 degrees;
  • Vertical viewing angle — 2.5 and 5 degrees (without electronic vertical scanning);
  • Maximum time of the survey — 1 second;
  • Maximum range of review is 500 meters.
  • Equivalent radius of the detected objects — 0.2 m;
  • Operating depth — not more than 40 m;
  • Installation depth of sonar — not more than 5 m;
  • The probability of automatic objects detection is at least 0.9;
  • Mean-square error of object’s coordinates determination:

- by distance — not more than 2% of maximum of distance scale;

- by course corner — not more than 4 degrees;

- by elevation angle — not more than 2 degrees.
